Do You Take Down Time?
As I told you yesterday, I’m taking some down time with my kids for a couple of days.
Truthfully, shutting down is a lot more difficult for me than keeping going.
Periodically, I have to force myself though because it’s critical to my mental health and my business success.
What’s that?
You say you can’t take any time off because you are too busy.
I hope you aren’t too busy to change your mindset because if you don’t you’re heading for a world of hurt.
A good friend of mine was in the hospital for 2 weeks over the holidays from some strange respiratory infection.
And another friend of mine has had the stomach flu for five days!
Neither one of these guys has been treating himself right.
Long hours + emotional stress = dis-ease
The only cure is to give yourself a break. And, don’t believe the lie that your head is telling you.
Everything will work out just fine. You’ll see. Open up your calendar and right now mark time off for fun. Schedule it in.
Before you go though, check out photos of my down time a few days ago when I went go-karting. I finally got them posted. Ski photos coming soon.
Now, go have fun!
